From the South:
M6 motorway Penrith take exit 40 onto the A66 towards Keswick then follow A591 towards Bassenthwaite, as you approach the Castle Inn Hotel. Ireby is signposted on the right and is just over 4 miles from this point. (21 miles from the M6 Motorway). Fresh milk, eggs and veg., can be bought at Alan Young's farm on the main street. The nearest grocery store and post office is in Caldbeck (6 miles). You can also find Banks shops and a post office in Wigton (7 miles Keswick 13 miles Cockermouth 12 miles). We have a range of food catering concessions situated at Ellenside and the village square, these will be open from 4pm on Friday. If you fancy home made teas and cakes these are available from the W.I.Hall on Saturday afternoon. Fresh water and portaloos are situated in the camp field and in the grounds of Ellenside. Toilets are also situated in the Globe Hall, the Lion pub, and the W.I Hall. There is no toilet facility at St James church. On the camp field portable BBQs are allowed but not open fires. If you are camping cars may be parked next to your tent, please be sure to display your camping pass in your windscreen. Ireby is a farming community and at the time of the festival we have many new lambs and calves therefore only guide assistance animals can be allowed onto the camp field and admitted to the festival venues. All music venues are accessible to people in wheelchairs but some assistance may be required to access the church, the old chancel and the main stage marque at Ellenside. Our stewards will gladly assist if required. Car parking: Please do not park on the main street or in the village square. Use the official festival car park field, we do not charge for parking. We operate a one way system in and out of the field please follow the Steward's directions to ensure optimum use of parking space. Venues: The Lion public house, the Globe Hall the Women's Institute Hall and the school are all situated in the village square area. St James church is at the opposite end of the village about a seven minute walk. Ellenside main stage is a three minute walk from the car park and about 7 minutes from the village square and the church. All music venues are heated except Ireby 12th Century Chancel. One of our Stewards will lead a 1 mile conducted walk to this venue. Camping facilities - toilets - BBQs -Pets - Disabled access: Food: Booking tickets, you have a choice:
ON LINE BOOKINGS. There is a commission charge made by the booking company "We Got Tickets". Ireby Festival is not responsible for the on line facility nor do we profit from any commission. We know from past experience that it works well.
POSTAL BOOKINGS. There is no additional charge for postal booking. Although to help keep our costs down we ask for a 1st class stamped addressed A5 size envelope when you send us your booking form and cheque. TELEPHONE BOOKINGS. 01697 371645 tell us what you want then send a cheque and SAE.
