Report Says that U.S.A’s Home Entertainment Spending is on Rise

A report from Digital Entertainment Group has claimed that U.S.A's spending on home entertainment has risen by 5 percent.
This has been an increment from the figures about home entertainment of 2008's first quarter. The total spending on entertainment has now reached 18.1 billion. Major box office sales showed increase in sale of Blu- ray disks. Major Blu- ray sales were led by classics like Star Wars and Citizen Kane.
There were other falls though; brick and mortar store rentals fell. However, there was a $152 million gain in new delivery methods, such as online streaming, VOD, mail-order subscriptions and rentals from kiosks. Revenue from those rental methods rose to $1.7 billion. Consumer spending rose as well.
