Gay Friendly Airline Starts Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship has always been encouraged in the United States as it allows individuals to set up their own businesses, learn from their mistakes and tackle problems without any issues.
Southwest Airlines is marketing itself as a gay friendly airline, which takes pride in their commitment to the GLBT community. This has been somewhat controversial as many people are on the fence on whether this is a good idea. One the one hand, gay people deserve to have rights while traveling and on the other, it may be highlighting generalizations that could be wrong.
The airline points to its many community partnerships with GLBT organizations across the US. For example, Southwest is the official airline of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), the Gay-Straight Alliance Network (GSA), and the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). They are also involved with the Cream City Foundation, which was founded in the 1980s to support the LGBT community in Milwaukee.
The organization supports entrepreneurship and small business among LGBT community members, and has grown from an initial grant of $500 seed money in to an organization which provides over $700,000 in grants each year to support a variety of gay and lesbian causes.
